Job Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated Service Manager for our heavy-duty truck branch located in Marion, Indiana. This Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating customer activities, service shop workflow to assure procedures are followed consistently, and to lead and develop Diesel Service Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily department operations and technician activities
  • Schedule and assign technician jobs based off skills and knowledge
  • Communicate, enforce, and monitor department processes to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Ensure accuracy of customer work orders and proper accounting for technician time worked to achieve high technician efficiency
  • Coordinate with the parts department team to ensure all costs are properly captured and billed to the correct customer and work order
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of all service shop transactions and customer communications
  • Ensure department warranty administration processes are being completed properly and timely
  • Coordinate and drive housekeeping efforts and maintenance for shop equipment
  • Manage annual service department goals and budget in alignment with the company's financial and operational objectives
  • Set goals and expectations that drive productivity through teamwork, respect, and willingness to help and support others
  • Follow and ensure department safety rules and regulations are followed properly
  • Train and develop department team members
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and lead daily communications and monthly department meetings
  • Resolve any departmental issues or concerns that may arise
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude, conduct, and appearance
  • Perform other assignments and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong demonstrated experience as a successful Service or General Manager for heavy-duty truck, construction equipment, or agriculture equipment dealerships are required. Similar relevant experience will be considered
